Food Labelling & Food Safety Talk for SNDA Food Service and Nutrition Interest Group

Our Senior Food Safety Consultant was honored to be invited by the Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association (SNDA) Food Service and Nutrition Interest Group (FSNIG) to present insights on Singapore’s Food Labelling Requirements, basic food safety practices, and food safety audits on 21 May 2024, at ISRC.

During the presentation, our consultant discussed the distinctions between food products and health products. She also covered Singapore’s general labelling requirements, including the name or description of food, ingredient list, declarations of foods and ingredients known to cause hypersensitivity, and additional labelling requirements illustrated with examples from various food packaging.

Participants had the unique opportunity to view real-life photos from audits of food establishments, offering them insights they might not typically encounter. An interactive activity was also conducted where participants could observe how germs can appear on our hands under UV light.

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with industry professionals and share valuable information that participants found useful and applicable to their work. The participants also shared that they enjoyed the interactive quizzes and activities during the event.
